Born and bred in the Triad of North Carolina, as a child, J.D. Fitzgerald always had a vivid imagination. Drawings on a notebook became ideas in written form. At the age of fifteen, he wrote his very first novel, Manhattan Girls, and with a couple of revisions later, has become part of an ongoing series of novels with a second book, A Change Would Do You Good, released in 2020. Instead of traditional publishing, Fitzgerald decided to go for an independent approach while taking online courses on how to run a self-publishing business. During his adolescence and later adulthood, Fitzgerald became an avid fan of 80s/90s primetime soap operas and indie arthouse films, which inspired his works. However the beginning of his self-publishing venture was not an easy road, so Fitzgerald decided to enroll in film to further his career. While attending The Los Angeles Film School, Fitzgerald wrote the romance drama In Search of Dreams. He would later write a TV pilot for the fantasy dramedy series Beautiful Vixens and the arthouse/fantasy-drama The Rose in the Winter Garden. When he's not riding fiction, his other hobbies include studying astrology and art history, practicing the art of interpretive dancing, and doll collecting. Currently, Fitzgerald has released a romance novella titled The Long Road Ahead, which is free on Amazon, and at least five more Film and TV projects including The Woods of Springhill, The Greatest Rock Band in the World, The Secret Palace, and The Sweet Valley High series.
